Matthew committed himself to creating a new play for the Christmas season.  The results were a modern day telling of the story of Mary and Joseph.  Matthew wrote the lyrics to eight songs that moved the story along and with the help of some talented musicians, was able to craft the melodies for 5 of them.

The musical was performed in its entirety, with the exception of the 3 songs without music, sometime in the early 2000’s.

The manuscript still exists.  The music is lost.

An interesting note about the writing of this play.  It was originally written on a Samsung i300 Palm Phone using a scripting language “graffiti”.  Most of the dialog was written in the Arts Garden that overlooks Illinois and Washington streets in downtown Indianapolis.  The melody lines of the music was composed on an electronic keyboard while sitting his car in the office parking lot so as not to disturb others.
